Aldi's and Trader Joe's does this thing too.

The same thing happens to me at a strip club
So to be fair I just sit there sipping beer and give them all some dollars as they come along
Seems to be fair to all of them

Thank you! Happened to me just 2 weeks ago when purchasing brake rotors. I had it easily narrowed down to 2 or 3 choices way back in June, but when I had to pull the trigger a few weeks ago, the analysis paralysis set in (EBC won!).

I bet it is a common trait of BITOGers. The ease of internet purchases confounds the process.

What is the matter with you ?

I cannot wait to remove my factory fill in a couple of weeks,
and pour in the 5qt jug of M1 AFE 0W16.

That'll work until I see a yellow 5qt jug on the shelf
with the word "HYBRID" in green
on the front of it.

With my last car I installed Mobil 1 and left it at that. I like to use one brand consistently as much as possible. BITOG is not good for me. LOL

That's EXACTLY what's happened to me since joining BITOG in 2012. It's maddening

About a month or so before I need an oil change anxiety sets in as I start trying to figure out what oil I want to try. Good thing is I know what filter I want so that helps.

At least now that I've decided to go annual it only happens once a year.

The ridiculous part about it is, I know it doesn't even matter...…..yet I continue. LOL

It's just for fun though. Harmless interest.

Wouldn't that be, "0w-8~40 AP"?🤔

you start with:
1- oil is oil if reasonable oci.
2- after some more studying/reading ... oil is not oil.
3- more reading and extensive research ... go back to step 1 and repeat.

Depending on which stare (see steps 1 or 2 above) you are currently stuck at, you may buy some oil and if you don't use it and change the oil immediately, you may then transition out of your current state (1 or 2) to a new state and doubt yourself

conclusion:
Don't stash oil.

^ LOL....right.

I've never been one to stash oil, probably for those reasons.
