tires with no date code

I thought they had to stamp both sides of the tire now? I know they didn't, but I thought both had to be now.

There are some white letter tires that are meant to be mounted with the letters out. There will be a different article number for tires without the white letters.

The rule is the first part pf the DOT code has to be on both sides, but the date code only needs to be on the side intended out.
