My 2000 Saturn SL2 previously had 2 Goodyear Integrity + 2 Futura 2000 LTE's on it, both sets with only 18,000 miles on them, so that will be the comparison, along with how my other Saturn drove as well.
Those tires ran very quiet, but were terrible in the rain. To the point I had to be careful on the curves.
Now on to the Michelin Integrity. I ran these for 1 week and about 300 miles to gather information in many conditions.
Normal Driving Stability: These tires give a strong & firm "placement feel" at all speeds. Much better than the previous tires. Grade = "A".
High Wind Stability: The Destiny's drove straighter down the road and I noticed I had to correct less with the steering wheel to keep it in the center of the road. Grade = "A".
Heavy Rain Performance: This is where the Destiny's performed their best! Fantastic grip, NO "drifting" or breaking loose in the back end. These tires gave a high level of confidence confidence with extreme wet traction and stability. They also stayed straight in thos puddles that usually veer a car off to one side; not on these tires. Grade = "A+"
Road Noise: This is the one disappointment; they are moderately louder than what I thought they would be going down the road. But if this is the trade-off for all the benefits of the Destiny's, well, I'll take it. Grade = "B".
Conclusion:
Overall, these are great tires and well worth the $100 per tire price, with a $70 Visa Card rebate. This is my 2nd Saturn and I did not know it could be this stable going down the road, in all the conditions listed above.
If you're going to drive in windless, dry, basic driving, you probably don't need to go to this level. But if you drive in wind, rain, seek stability in these conditions and don't mind a little extra noise, well these are the tires for you.
