Not necessarily. You might be able to get ABN school since you are already at Benning. After AIT, check your orders for your duty station and see how long it is after AIT that you report. ABN school is 3 weeks long so if the schedule will permit it, ask to see if you can go to ABN school.
Also, start talking to your recruiter right now about
hometown recruiting. It's 2 weeks of free leave after BCT/AIT.
If you want to improve your pushups, try this: 20 seconds of pushups, 10 seconds rest and keep repeating that cycle until you do a few sets. The key is that if you can't do anymore pushups, go to your knees and keep pushing. Best way is to have a plan on the test. For instance, knock out a certain number to start off, stop and rest in the front leaning rest, knock out 7-10 more, stop and rest in the front leaning rest, knock out 3-5 more and keep that pattern going.
As for situps, do them on a decline board. That will make it much more difficult. Also train your hip flexors. Do not lower yourself slowly on the situps, you're wasting energy, just drop and save your energy coming up.
As for the run, you have to mix some sprints in there because the Army has focused less and less on long running and more into sprints. No one runs long distances in combat. You sprint from cover to cover in combat.
Also, start getting used to rucking and conditioning your feet. If you have soft feet, you're going to be in a world of hurt. Get a ruck sack, throw at least 30 pounds in there and walk a few miles to build up upper back, shoulder and leg strength. Do not regret overall condition because you will ruck and you will be carrying a rifle as well.
Start getting your diet set as well. You will not be allowed to take any supplements. You will be eating 3 meals a day without any snacks on a set schedule. Get used to getting broken sleep and some sleep deprivation as well.
My PT test from a couple months ago went: 87 pushups, 72 situps and 2 mile time 13:40. I would've ran faster if it weren't so humid in Louisiana.
After you arrive at Benning, you will find out real quick why it's called Sand Hill. It's one of the most miserable places on earth.
