Those are a cheap tools. My thoughts on this type of tool is being as long as they are they are prone to breakage when highly stressed and with that length it is not too hard to do, warranty is everything. I have no problem with the spline vs reg 12 point, most spline types have an offset on one side making it similar to a super stubby socket, it can be very useful.
Unless I am working with black plated (not black oxide) or chrome fasteners I don't worry about small marks on the heads.
These are Gearwrench, I never liked the quality of their tools but these are 12pt non reversible. I never tried to warranty something from them but I hear it can be a pain.

These are the Icon 12pt spline reversible with lifetime walk in walk out with a new one warranty like the old Craftsman. For me that is a important consideration. I have them and they are very decent for the money, not cheap.
