I don't want to discount your trials or pain, but I have passed 2 that were pea sized or about the same size as a wood pencil end eraser over the past 16 years. My last one was a little bigger than the size of that penny but they had to go in after it, after 6 months of trying to pass it naturally as it finally blocked the ureter coming out of the kidney. I can say I was actually getting used to the discomfort by month 3 or 4. Oddly enough what really hurts me is getting a needle or having blood drawn.
I have talked to many women that have had kidney stones and children, and all of them say without reservation and very quickly that they would choose child bearing any day of the week compared to the stone.
Needless to say, as of February I am off of red meat except for once a week, and I drink nearly 3 liters of lemon flavored water a day.
