This thread is from 2006, but I am amazed by the ignorance on it.

I don't use M1 personally but it's not "paint thinner" - it's a perfectly serviceable product that will provide a long service life when you follow the factory recommended oil change interval. Why do people go crazy over such things?

Didn't really find it that funny myself, either...

I did take away a couple of things from reading that thread:

1 - The posts were all circa September 2006, so over 12 years old.. and thus talking about an entirely different board, and entirely different crowd, compared to what we have now

2 - They clearly thought that everyone on this board was an overbearing, thin-skinned, uneducated, redneck simpleton.

You have your bureaus mixed up. The BIA is the Bureau of Indian Affairs.

I just recently came back to BITOG (Monday, 4/8/2019) after being on a 1 year vacation. BUT, I deserved my vacation. Yeah, I did some stupid things, made a MOD VERY VERY angry, and was given multiple chances before. BUT, I didn't go somewhere else and start degrading this website. There are GREAT members here. And, there are those here that like to break the rules, try to SUCKER you into their little ploys, and act like TROLLS (even though they don't think so). Eventually, they will get what's coming to them!
On a side note, some of those replies on that site were VERY FUNNY! Like, comparing an oil website to a Cauliflower website.

Like them, we need this website just like they need theirs. They discuss what they like, (computers) us, oil, grease, filters, cars, etc. They're both hobbies, IMO. So, what's the difference?
