Thinking of using GC to thin out Mobil 1 15w-50

Title pretty much says it all. This is for use in a S50 M3 engine, I was thinking of using 2-3 qts of GC and the remainder of Mobil One. I am trying to thin out it out a little so the car will rev better. Any thoughts?

This car is track duty only and have some events coming up in April that will most likely not get out of the 60's. When it gets warmer I'll switch to just the mobil one.

I would use M1 (0-10)W30 to mix with M1 15W50.

Just pick a single oil. There are TOO many oils to choose from and you want to mix ones with different chemistry?

Look at the Mobil 1 Hi-Miles line and pick the 10w-30 or 10w-40.

Well I already have both. When hot out the car will run fine on the 15w-50, its just for the early month that I want to try this blend.

I hear ya though, but will mixing really do anything? As their supposed to be all compatible with each other.

On a side note it looks like the Mobil 1 is a group III given its 39 degree pour point. Any confirmation on this?
