Thinking About Idemitsu TLS-LV for 2007 Tacoma V6 (Aisin A750E Automatic)

Don't have an answer for you're TOYOTA......but I sure got my answer with my 13' CRV to the tune of $ 3600 bucks with Idemitsu,,,,but,,,that was HONDA. Wasn't wasting the labor money on a junkyard tranny. I physically cannot do transmission swaps anymore. Too old with a bad back. Recovering from a surgery from June now...... Use to do them in one day, using floor jacks & jack stands only. I was in my early 30's. Now I'm almost 59. Not happening. Would have gotten a junkyard tranny in a heartbeat. Sux to get old :(

Okay, this is the sixth post about your Honda transmission in the last page. We get it.

Just for the record, your Honda transmission could've been close to failing anyway, fluid change with Idemitsu or not.

As far as I know, none of the aftermarket Honda specific ATF's have the same chemistry as the Genuine Honda ATF. The Honda AT's are very different than a traditional stepped gear automatic and there may be a reason for the unique chemistry of the OE fluid.

However, an individual on another forum performed an in-depth FTIR analysis of the Idemitsu WS product and it is extremely similar (and possible identical) to the Genuine Toyota product:

Thank you Critic.....aftermarket fluids do not have the same chemistry as OEM Honda ATF,,,,,,....But, as Critic and I stated,,,, it may work in a Toyota situation. Many thanks, again.sir.

Back to HPL... the Green has 2 flavors: regular and CC (Cold Climate).

Cold Climate is advertised to have all PAO basestock.
regular, has Group III in it at minimum.

Then there is Ravenol, which is advertised to be a Group III/IV basestock blend.
