I’m heading back to the dealer this afternoon. He offered to install a fresh set of strings since they had been sitting on the guitar for over a year. Nice touch on his part. I’ve been reading a lot and watching a lot of UTubes on various tonewoods so now I’m very curious about mahogany. Guess what, he’s got a really cool custom D-18 already marked down to 60% of MSRP (see below) which seems to be the sweet spot to move Martins. I’ve also developed an affinity for “Sinker Mahogany”. Fortunately, he doesn’t have any of those in stock.
