Thermostat brand recommendation

I am going to be changing out my thermostat in a 96 GMC with the vortec 5.7. What are some of the better brands of thermostats in your experience?

I would stick with an AC-Delco brand. I have not had much luck with aftermarket thermostats. I run this thermostat in my 98 chevy truck with the 5.7L

I've good good experience with the Duralast heavy duty t-stat's from Autoclone. 4 years and still working great in the GS.

I have a Duralast t-stat in my 5.7 right now, no problems at all.

I always had good luck with Stant products.

a/c delco is not made very well

If you get a stant, cough up the extra 2 dollars for the superstat that fails open. I just recently had a brand new stant(cheap one) not open.

have had repeated bad luck with regular stants. superstant at the least.

Failsafe? Do not like them...first one I bought was defective...second one runs 20 deg's colder than it should.
