It's like a BB King version for BITOG.
"The Green is gone! Oh lord! the Green is gone!"
I put my last bottle of GC green into my jaguar today. Its nothing but Gold until that runs out and then on to the rebate BOGO PP after that. Oh then I can use the Havoline synthetic I got at Big lots for 1.99/qt...but its just not the same 'cause the Green is Gone!

I don't think forum rules allow whimpering.....

Suck it up.

Your local AZ has some old stock. Green GC has not been produced for a few years.

"Green" is not gone. Schaeffers is green, and their full syn 5w30 or 5W-40 is a better oil overall at a better price and consistent availability, IMO. Heck, even the 7000 blend is great. Check it out sometime. Chasing around to different AZ's to find a special oil is getting too expensive with fuel at 3-4 dollars a gallon.

He just vanished. One day, he was posting, the next: "Poof!, gone." I guess he just eventually lost interest in what goes on here.....

Unless, of course, you don't live in the USA.

Maybe he got a bad UOA report with GC and didn't feel good about posting any longer after hyping it up like he did.

Actually I've never had to "hunt" and I have plenty of Gold GC on hand, it just doesn't have the mystique of the green GC (and it's noticeably thinner when pouring it out of the bottle). I don't know how much Scheaffer's cost, but I've always got my GC when the Castrol goes on sale for 4.49/qt which its has several times...I'm moving on. I actually did mix the green and gold on this last OC.

Yep. I'll take the 9000 series anyday over GC. Besides being green it produces the best UOA's of any oil I have seen. Priced very well too. I'm outta here...
