TGMO API SP availability? For 0w20

Has anyone seen TGMO API SP formula in North America yet?

I would hasten a guess the dealers are pouring it. Can't be too far behind from consumer availability. I would imagine that getting sufficient bulk boxes to dealers would be the priority. Especially if they are still pumping Toyotacare.

That exact metal can in 0w20 & 0w16 is available for purchase from Toyota dealers in Australia.

So I guess I should clarify that I’m not looking for that exact can but the TGMO Formula.

0w20 in API SP. I’m just curious as I’m sure the SN+ is more than great.

I was at the dealer today because my Lexus and Tundra both needed oil changes. So far in Canada we only have the SN+.

I’m surprised they don’t have the SP yet because all the stores are now selling SP formulations.

FYI it cost me $6.01 per litre CAD. (Good value imho)

If anyone has any info on the change from SN+ to SP in the TGMO 0w20 viscosity please share it.

Do any Toyotas call for SP yet ? Toyota is very conservative with design changes, i.e. their typical engines are many-year-old designs and by no means "need" SP oil.

Not sure but clearly they released it in certain parts of the world. And while they may not “need” it; the changes in SP formulation are improvements. So why wouldn’t I run it if I could at the same price? I’m not worried about it; I’m just curious as I posted in previous posts.
