This show used to be on TV and I LOVED watching it. Jeff demonstrated the operation of many war birds. Unfortunately he died in a crash several years ago.

It was the P-38 Lightning that Jeff Ethell died in. If I recall correctly he ran out of fuel on a real long final somewhere near Newport, Oregon and nosed into the terra firma.

I always enjoyed reading his books and watching aviation related television programs that featured Jeff's commentary.
