About the differences in TBN of the two oils I mean't to follow up on that because I think the Lab changed methods or something . TBN for the last VOA I posted " Motorcraft " was lower than some 5k mile used Motorcraft samples here .

Sure I posted that it was the same TBN method but I was looking at the reports show the ASTM method listed on the 3w-30 but not on the 5w30 or Motorcraft oil or vice versa , the reports are not where I am right now .

I just forgot to follow up

I'll call the Lab Monday and check ....... without fail

FWIW the Lab is Analysist's Inc ...the first times I've used their services .

Motorbike thanks for this and when you come back from vacation tell us SYNERGYN does NOT use TEFLON.I for one would like to see it in more oil reports.

I have an analysis on the 5W30 Synergyn in the UOA Gas engines from my wifes 2000 Mazda. I will have a UOA on the 3W30 sometime this fall. Both excellent oils, with the 3W30 Synergyn getting the nod. After that run, I am going to use 5W20 Red Line for a one year change.

NO teflon in my Synergyn oils.
