Or the flame thrower torches that can come from underneath the side rocker panels as they are installed aftermarket on cars in South Africa.

When thugs come at you like they did this family I would have no issue using deadly force to remove the threat to my family. Including running over them. Too bad the guy didn't get a concealed weapon permit. I would have capped both of those clowns that opened my door before they could have made one more move.

And I would have slept very well at night afterwards.

At this point it looks as though the cops may not have been "undercover", but rather this is what they do on their personal time.

In the first place what happened to cause the SUV to hit the cycle? 2nd if someone thinks that I'm going to stop and apologize when I have my wife and child in the car to a bunch of riders they're crazy. The way to slow a vehicle down is not pull in front of it and try to brake check it. They have this little thing called a cell phone that you can call 911. Did any of the riders try that in the beginning?

^Allegation by one of the biker of what happened pre the original video.

What a bunch [censored]. The video shows the bikers angrily confronting the SUV driver, slashing his tires, breaking his windows etc. If he would have gotten out, he would have been beaten to a pulp.

Gang mentality......

With my wife and child in the car? Not a moment's hesitation!

It gets even better! One of the cops was beating on the SUV!

There's a certain amount of flexibility that I'm willing to grant an under-cover officer in that situation. He can't have a weapon, he doesn't have his badge, probably no quick and easy way to communicate the situation to people who can really do something given the nature of being on a motorcycle.

But taking an active part in this? Off with his head.

In New York, you would have ended up in Rikers Island (or more likely: shot dead) for it!

Are the police going correctly respond next year?

Helicopter gunships would work effectively and be excellent target practice for the national guard Apache's.

I am no fan of police, but, this is a little bit over the top for me. Help him out of his car if it was that serious. Then leave, maybe call ambulance but then leave, AFTER.

From what our media tells us, some of the officers were off duty, some under cover....

Either way, its obvious we cannot depend on them wether they are off duty or on duty.

After watching this on the news several times and hearing about it over and over again i personally have come to the conclusion of this....

The SUV driver didnt move the SUV until one of the bikers opened the door to where his 2 year old child was sitting. Once the door was opened, he fled to protect his child and family. After seeing that, wether he bumped on of them or not, he should be cleared of any wrong doing.

Its unfortunate for the person who was run over and now paralyzed, a word of advice though, dont be in the tire path of an SUV. If you are part of a mob and get hurt, remember this phrase.... be in the right place at the right time doing the right things and only good will come to you.

I didn't know that about the door being opened next to the child. I figured something triggered the response to floor it. Pretty idiotic to be in front of a suv while other guys are taunting the driver. It's not like the driver threw the truck in reverse or even started to swerve while driving to take the bikers out. I know I would have been tempted to do the latter as well. Use that truck as a weapon. Especially if it were leased or a rental.

Interesting quote. I say "Play with fire and you're going to get burnt." I hope when the person who got run over takes this to court he gets laughed out of the courtroom. The poor guy in the car was in fear for his life and the life of his family. I would have been running them over and bouncing off the bikers like a ball bouncing off bumpers in a pin ball machine if I was driving that SUV.
