I'm sure some people here use it! How do you like it? Been looking at the high mileage for my truck and synthetic for my wife's car

I've been using SuperTech two-stroke oil in my Lawn-Boy mower for years and years without an issue. Its just blended by someone as are house brand oils at Advanced Auto and so on and so forth.

Oil is oil. However.....

I use Supertech in my wife's Rav4 and a 5000 mile OCI. I'd use it in my Corolla but my son has it away at school and he's not good at keeping it topped up and he's not good at adhering to a 5000 mile OCI. He's bringing it by this week for an oil change at 6000 miles. I'll put PYB in it for some extra wiggle room on the OCI. I have no data to support doing that.

Most of its made by Warren. Its a good oil. I have 6 or 7 jugs of their HM in my shop right now.

I did a 5000 mile comparison of ST Syn vs M1, Amsoil and VWB. All were within 1-2 ppm of wear metals (the ST was better in some categories) and were good for that distance. I no longer have the UOAs or I would share but would not hesitate to use ST Synthetic.

My truck is a 07 silverado 5.3 l33 I'm at 220k

Wife's car is a 06 mercury Montero with the duratech 3.0...she has around 110k

I have used it a lot over the years. Almost exclusively in one car and it did very well up to 125k; no significant problems. I noticed condensation and varnish inside the fill cap often though; nothing terrible, so I switched to Valvoline Syn and Pennzoil Syn last year and they have greatly reduced (eliminated really) that. I can see both brands working on/removing the varnish down inside the fill hole as well, which has really surprised me. Overall, the oil has served me well over the years, but honestly I spend a little more on oil now to reduce the aforementioned issues in my newer cars due to a lot of short tripping.

I run it in both my trucks: '77 HP406 and '86 350 camper special. never an issue and the price is right now that im on fixed income, usually around $2.10 a quart at Wallymart. I usually buy the 5 quart jug and refill a few quarts to carry along just in case.

Way back in 2013, a synthetic Supertech 5W30 purchased in NJ looked just fine compared to a suite of other synths in that grade.

I know that both Pennzoils and the QSUD have been reformulated since then, and I think the Castrol has, too...heck, they've probably all been reformulated. But, at that time, that Supertech was a solid, midrange synth oil.

Only concern for me is my drive to work. Only a 8 minute drive..on a bad day there is a lot of stop and go traffic..
