I don't think the wear numbers represent the oils performance, since it was probably getting a free ride from the uptake from previous RL runs, the .25-.33qt RL left in oil cooler, and the AutoRX.
I am concernered about the water. But I did spill a small amount of coolant into the intake when changing the intake manifold gasket. That is why I ran AutoRX. I did a flush of superflow before this run though too. Maybe there was a trace left and ARX pulled it up, but shouldnt it have burned off? Could my head gasket be begining to leak?
Anyway here's the resuts:

Also interesting that even 10w30 dinos are not stable. But I am sure this is engineered-in for ECIII passing. My engine sure is a test of stability, I should nickname it the chop-shop or something. Or maybe it's my playing tag with the rev limiter on a daily basis. I did take it easier this run though because the oil made me nervous, but I am still addicted to the throttle.

Looks like this oil is weak. Viscosity gone after 2K miles. Calcium and magnesium very low. Perhaps it has a magic additive packabe and perhaps uses antimony-but I doubt it. I think I would be leary about this oil.

It doesn't show any glycol. Perhaps the water is from not having it warmed up prior to draining.

Engine was hot and got to temp every weekday. I drained within 30min of getting home from my 30 mile commute.

You are using the wrong weight oil in the engine. The factory specifies 10w30 for tempuratures below 40F. You should be running 20w-50 summer and 10w-40 winter if you use mineral oil.

Jason,

Autorx is basically a thin 20wt oil at 100C - adding almost a pint of it WILL thin out the host oil perhaps 5%-10%, regardless of what you have heard....

I respectfully disagree Slick, in our testing the esters of RX didn't affect the host oils at all. And thats all thats in there.

Using the term "oil" to describe Auto-RX isn't quite accurate either.

The Auto-RX fluid ?

Only one way it would thicken, that is if it is freezing or below but once in the host oil 12 ounces isn't going to change a thing. I found 2 ounces per qt to have no measurable effect on viscosity.

You would think a huge company like Exxonmobil would make better dino oils. I dont even think Drive Clean is that good. I like Pennzoil or Chevron for dino.

interesting report. I'm on my first run of exxon superflo 10w30. on my second run, I'm going to post a UOA. I wanted to do auto rx, but I'm going to wait until I run a second interval of the stuff to get an accurate uoa. Thanks for first UOA of exxon superflo 10w30.

Jason, is the 10w30 correct viscosity for that engine? could the wear metals be high from the auto rx?

No 10w30 is not the recommended visc. It probably would have had more wear if it were not for the AutoRX and the leftover Moly and RL uptake.
Auto-RX should reduce actual wear and it was cleaning still so copper could be from that. Wear metals arent really high. If you saw all the junk in my filter you could appreciate how ARX reduces wear. Also has extra EP. "Cleans safely" is being modest.
That is why this oil was a 1-time run. I'm back to RL 10w40.
