I am looking for a product for my bike. It has a HOK paint job, HOK paint, flake and clear. I also have alot of chrome. I would like a nice durable product that will not cause damage to my custom paint job. If possible I'd like something that is easy to find and doesnt cost a fortune. Thanks!

If the bike spends a lot of time outside I would use Zaino, it is the best protection out there. Very durable and wont stain anything, easy to find if you can order online, and a very reputable company. I use it on Bikes, Boats, cars, trucks and any thing else on wheels with paint. If it's a garage queen just go to the local Harley Dealer and pick up some s100 wax for the paint and polish for the chrome.

For general use, I would recommend the new Meguiars Ultimate Detailer. It's not a wax or polish, just an in between spray for quick touch ups. Once you find a wax, try this stuff in between waxings. Makes water bead like crazy.

I recommend Rejex. Designed to be used on aircraft (including the plastic windows) and contains no cleaners that might scratch paint. Very durable and easy to use. You will probably have to order it, but it is worth it.

I use it on my glasses with no problems.

Step 1 - Wash with Menzerna Auto Shampoo

Step 2 - Clay to remove embedded particles

Step 3 - Orbital Buff with Menzerna Final Polish II to remove light scratches and swirls.

Step 4 - Orbital Buff with Menzerna Finishing Touch Glaze to fill in and mask deeper scratches and swirls.

Step 5 - Orbital Buff and finish with Menzerna FMJ, a polymer-based polish.

Repeat step 5 for several layers of protection.

For the next 4 months, you can wash, dry and retouch with a spray of Menzerna High Gloss Acrylic Shield and a microfiber cloth. This rebonds with the original FMJ treatment and gives you an incredible shine.

Alternately, you can use Menzerna One Step Acrylic Jacket after washing, and then apply retouch applications with Menzerna High Gloss Acrylic Shield

For a good House of Kolor paint job use Zaino. There is no other product out there that will last as long and produce the mile deep shine you are looking for. It is easy to maintain and just gets better with more product applications.

I use Zaino, and have for a few years, and am completely satisfied. We have black kitchen appliances and they have Zaino on them also. The stuff rocks!

Thanks for the suggestions I will look into getting some of them. My wife seen me talking about wax so whe picked me up some while she was shopping. turtle wax super hard shell.... I guess I should atleast use it as to not offend her.

If you are looking for ease of application (by hand) with good durability, I would go with either Rejex or Zaino All-In-One.

My experience with custom bike paint jobs is they're super soft and easily marred. I'd be VERY hesitant to use a cleaner wax type product as the abrasives and cleaning agents might scratch the paint. Definitely test for this before applying any product on the entire bike.

Products like Zaino or Rejex will be fine as they have no abrasives or harsh cleaners like NuFinish or F21 do. Also, pure carnauba waxes will work fine but be sure they're not cleaner waxes, like the Turtle Wax is. Again, test on a small spot just to be sure.

For chrome, use a chrome polish like Mothers chrome polish and top with your wax or polymer sealant. Mothers billet polish works great on the soft aluminim parts and Mothers mag and aluminum polish is great on the hard, polished parts (not chromed).

Most of the Mothers products can be found at Pep Boys or Walmart. Here's their product line: http://www.mothers.com/products/

Mcguiars Gold Class Wash
Mcguiars Deep Crystal (carnauba wax)

If I use a polish its: Mcguiars Mirror glase

Klasse all in one. I have it on my truck for a year now and it still beads up the water.

I would use Duragloss 105 as a sealant. You could add S100 on top (for beauty), and occasionally top with Duragloss Aqauwax.

DG 105 ($9) and Aquawax ($7) can be found at Carquest.
S100 ($16) can be found at your Harley dealer. If you do not have a Harley dealer, P21S ($32) is essentially the same (but twice the price).

If you want to go cheap, and Walmart-available, I've read good things about Mothers Synwax. Turtlewax Platinum Ultra Gloss also does well ($3 if you can find at Big Lots). Meguiars #26 is also a very nice OTC carnauba wax (for beauty).
