So yesterday afternoon I was driving home after giving some cash to the Indians.
On a 2 lane hwy, speed limit is 65 , conditions are clear with visibility many miles, middle of the desert with no traffic. I'm rollin along about 62mph in the Jeep.
I see a cop has a car pulled over on my side on the shoulder. I then saw the car pull away but the cop is still sitting there.
I took my foot off the gas and moved over to my left.
I'm going about 45 mph at this time.
I got about 75 ft from the cop and he decided to make a U-Turn right in front of me! I slammed on the brakes and turned towards the right shoulder, barely missing the LR corner of the cop car.
I said some Censored words, grabbed 2nd gear and merged back onto the highway. Lots of dust flying.
Cop did a complete circle and pulled me over. I'm thinking that he's going to apoligize and see if I'm ok.
No he demands my License, registration and proof of insurance and asks me what was with the manuever I just did!
I told him that I was avoiding an accident.
He tells me to sit and wait while he runs my license. When he came back to me he told me that he's going to let me go but he could write me for reckless driving.
He told me to be more carefull and to pay more attention!!!!!
I about came unglued at this point. I told him that I was paying attention, was slowing and moving over to give him some room when he made an illegal U-Turn infront of me nearly causing an accident.
His last words were "Just be more carefull" then he drove off, making another U-Turn
What a bonehead! Darn it! I was too exited to get his badge number.
