Good Afternoon folks. Filter and STP SYN 0w20 DEX 1 gen 3 was off co workers new to her 22’ Chevrolet Trailblazer. Has 27k on it when she bought it. Put in M1 0w20 AFE and a STP XL filter same part #

Other than made in China it looks great I think.

Looks good, what was the oci/fci?

Also interesting, seems depending on region, AZ using different suppliers for their STP filters. Locally all are Champ Labs made and have been for a while now. Basically, they are SuperTech with STP name, but significantly more expensive. STP XL = ST MP, silicone adbv.

Thanks for c&p.

Unknown OCI, co worker just bought vehicle. In PA most STP filters are premium guards I’m seeing 🤬🤔🤔

As noted, must be a regional thing. Locally AZ made the switch back to Champ Labs at least couple years ago, iirc. I dump my used oil there, on the way out usually take a stroll down filters aisle to check out the STP filters. Last time looked at an STP XL. Looked like ST MP series, except orange instead of blue silicone adbv, and ~$10.

Yeah, the STP for my truck used to be made from a different company, not sure who, but the latest one is a champ labs. I looked at the XL STP & it was equivalent to the Fram TG but $10 cheaper than Fram.

Must be an odd-ball TG since most are much less than $20.
Yeah, Odd-ball is right. Marketing could've named it HR9549 for highway robbery. They've been at least $18 since 2014. I bought some $6 7yr old TG's & Puro One's off *bay because of the mentioned high prices. I've paid that price before but never again. lol
