Again, read the first post. The filter was located in a bad position on this piece of equipment. A stronger body won't make any difference. The consensus of members was to either relocate the filter or construct a guard.
I have one of these log splitters as well. Best answer I found when I was looking for similar info was to make a shelf going over the top of the tank and also the filter. Some nice DIY videos on youtube.
