My house is not made of glass, it is made out of wood and has a family of proud Americans living in it.
Charley Pride sang the National Anthem at the World Series in Arlington.
It wasn't his usual perfect baritone voice, it was a little rough, but he didn't forget the words and didn't add a bunch of vocal inflections into it to change it up. Plus he is well into his 70s and a Country Music Legend.
I respect Charley Pride's rendition. I do not respect Christina Aguilera's.
And I don't even listen to Country music...well not today's country/pop anyway.
But then again, Dallas Stars fans shout, "STARS!" twice during the National Anthem. Anaheim won't even perform the National Anthem when they play against The Stars because of it. The crowd remains on their feet and facing the Canadian flag when "Oh Canada" is performed. They are not too terribly disrespectful. But, "STARS" will be shouted out. So maybe it's us....
