I been needing a smaller size wet/dry vac - Found this Stanly at Costco. Seems to do a swell job and unlike my old Craftsman shop vac that is about as loud as a jet turbine and big, won't take up near as much room and I don't need ear plugs.
Most I seen lately was all plastic. Of course this has plastic parts & attachments though.

My buddy worked for Stanley in New Britian, CT. Nothing was made there. He did work at the test lab testing the strength of tools and their various failure rates.

Everything now is made in the "NEW" "New Britian" aka China. For what you pay for that Stanley, I'm sure it will be ok.
If my Rigid Wet Vac ever dies, I'll just pick up something small like that to save space.

Regards, JC.

Used it today a bit and it works good - sounds much quieter than the old Craftsman beast which I had the wife haul off to Goodwill this morning.
I might adapt this into a vinyl (record/album) cleaning machine. After a wash & rinse, they get a vacuum with a suction wand hovered just above and across the groove section. Cheaper than a RCM or VPI cleaner.

I like the smaller size of this. Although China - it seems well built. Surprised the body is stainless - and for the price ($29 & change), can't complain.

Walmart has 4 HP 3.5 gallon Stanley wet/dry vac with stainless body for $44. This may be a better buy for with 40% more HP.

A little extra searching found 5.5 HP 4.6 gallon Stanley wet/dry vac with stainless body for $37.

I like that vac! Also good to hear you can get one even a little more powerful at Walmart. I have typical red plastic Craftsman junk one. I hate it! Cheap all over and nowhere to store tools or even the hose with it and yes it's loud.
