God, I remember the 1995 Stanley Cup finals when Devils swept the Red Wings in 4.

I gained respect for Jacques Lemaire. Think that was only time the legend Scotty Bowman team lost

Boston looks too good to lose, but upsets happen. I can't count out Minnesota or the Rangers being a dark horse this year?

Once again the Leafs will lose in 7 in the first round.

I read an article recently where they looked the Cup winners over the past 10 years. Almost all of the teams had a Top-10 goaltender. I think they only looked at save %, but it's a reasonable predictor.

As good as Edmonton and Toronto are, I don't think they have the goaltending.

Boston looks to have a complete team.

I would have said Carolina but now with Svechnikov out I don’t think they have it in them. Ullmark has no playoff experience so I’m going with Tampa even though Vasilevsky hasn’t been playing great of late.

I'm certainly not ruling out the Bolts - they've been in the last three finals, and won the first two.

I worked at a casino across the river from Detroit (in Windsor, ON) back then. Surprisingly, many of the Wings players found themselves in that casino shortly after the last loss. Some of the dealers were collecting the tips from the table games tables in the middle of the night when Mike Vernon, who was seated at a table with a bunch of other Wings, joked "Hey, why don't you throw a few of those chips over here?!" to which the dealer collecting the tips replied "I dunno, they might fly right through the 5-hole!"

I could not believe that dealer's audaciousness but still laugh about that to this day.

I not so sure about this item you call the "Stanley Cup" but I am quite confident that a variety of Leafs players will do very well in the golf tournaments they'll be playing in shortly after the conclusion of the first round.

And by the way, slightly off-topic, the NHL is ridiculous for allowing for loaded expansion teams like Vegas and Seattle right off the bat. I don't think they need to be basement dwellers for 10 years, but instant playoffs is not right either.

They paid huge expansion fees to be allowed to draft a reasonable team.

Even so, I was surprised by how good Vegas was in its first season (2017/18), going right to the finals.

Our Penguins are having a tough year. I would suggest the Hurricanes to take the cup but the Bruins are going to be a tough out.

Pens fan here, I hate to say it but I think that the Rangers will do some serious damage in the playoffs this year and will likely come out of the East or at least as likely as any other team. I don't think anyone in the East wants to play them especially since they added Patrick Kane.

I don't exactly know who will come out of the West but I think it's a team that will surprise us all and one that is long past due for exceeding expectations.

Well, Penguins need help from Flyers and Capitals But Penguins need wins consistently or no playoffs.

But some team called the Pirates are like 5-2
