The best one, of course. Kentucky.

Shoulda guessed from your screen name....LOL

IMO not enough snow in KY to really worry about having winter tires. 17" across 5 months...of course I live in MT and might have a different perspective.

When I began reading this thread I was imagining driving through a snowstorm in Lexington, Massachusetts. I know people in that area and some of them use dedicated snow tires in the winter. But you're talking about putting on snow tires to drive in Lexington, KY? Ha! I lived in Minnesota for 25 years and never used snow tires. I can't imagine needing dedicated winter tires in that area unless you're the world's worst driver. But to answer your question, some tire shops will store your wheels/tires for a fee. Although I can't imagine that would be a very popular service in KY.

No snow tires is not going to be an option. Highs in the 40s or lower from November to March + snow a few times a month = absolutely not.

I'll call whoever manages housing rules and ask if it's OK to store clean, covered tires in the corner of my room. Otherwise, I'll probably be driving so little that it honestly won't matter if I just keep them in my car.
