...and I get a Baker's Dozen.

Of course, I instantly checked my C/C for a $250 charge; but no, only $25.

Even if I do the right thing, this is going to be a hassle. Hmmm...

Valve.webp

Sell them on ebay and donate the proceeds to charity, like "project Christmas tree" for the poor kids.

Now, if they only fit all your applications. Lol! I'm sure amazon will correct the order. Or Merry Christmas early?

Okay, little follow up: Contacted Amazon via chat, they told me to keep them.

Jeeze...that's a lot of money.

What to do?

Maybe tell Amazon, but be sure to say that you won't pay return postage. Maybe they will tell you to just keep them. I have had that happen with parts.

No it won't. Amazon will either a) tell you to keep them (this usually depends on the 'value' and in this case I don't think they will) or b) email you a return label and will schedule a pick-up via UPS. With "b", the only hassle will be taping the box shut and if you choose, physically handing the box to the driver. I suspect you can even leave the package where the driver could find it and they'll take care of the rest.

If it were me, since they told you to keep them, which I thought they might, I would offer them at a reduced price to BITOG members. I am not saying this because I want one, because I don't.

I've experienced the same thing with single wrong items, but never so many!

Normally, they'd issue a return shipment label, so that you can literally tape it to the box they came in and drop it off at a USPS location. A bit of a pain, but pretty standard if you do a lot of Amazon shopping.

To gain a lot more shoppers from brick-and-mortar stores (like they need help), Amazon has made it very clear that they're OK with returning certain products. Case in point: my wife bought me new winter gloves to replace the ones I had that were falling apart (but could have lasted a few more years, according to me!!!!) The page she ordered from prompted her to select half a dozen gloves (different types and sizes) to try on, and noted that a return label would be issued for the remainder. Whichever we did NOT return, we'd be charged for (i.e., we weren't charged until we returned the unwanted gloves!) Pretty neat and I was able to figure out that I liked mittens more than individually-fingered gloves. Who woulda thunkit?

I'm glad to hear that you indeed have integrity.

At this point, you can do as you wish with a clear conscience.

I got drunk one night and ordered a musical triangle off ebay. Received two of them. Contacted the lady selling them and she told me to keep the extra one. Wife declined triangle duets. It's still in its bubble wrap envelope.

Nope, not for the Vibe (which I still have). It's for my truck.

Guess I should have updated my profile though...been five years since I last posted.

Selling them on ebay or Bitogers who want them and then donating the proceeds is a great idea, and an easy way to help. I dont "need" one but Id glady buy one for charity, depending on the size and pitch and if I could use it of course!

Reason they told you to keep them is.................. they are set up to distrbute, not restock one or 12 at a time. Of course if it was 12 flat screens that would be different. Service rep probably showed Amazons COST before saying that.

I got something Amazon sent me that I didn't order. I contacted their service department and they said I had to pay to ship it back so I might as well keep it.

I explained to the CSR again that I hadn't paid for the item and it was shipped to me in error and I was told again it was no problem to send it back but I had to pay to ship it back so I should just keep it.

So I gave it to my mum because it was eyelash extensions and they just weren't for me.
