Smoke and mirrors or workable...?

Sorry bro,

a nice looking machined filter housing means nothing. A cleanable filter is rock catcher at best, filtering 20 microns or less is real hard and a metal mesh filter can't do it.

Wear metals in the oil can be caught with magnets but not just one in the link you provided! Jeez!

I use a reg spin-on filter and a pair of FilterMags then I stuff extra mags inside! My oil stays clear for the first 5 months of driving! (6,000 miles)

I rigged up tools that allow me to place magnets inside without the risk they'll move or get sucked into the engine, etc. So I don't recommend that for you.

There's no secret to oil flow through a filter. If this filter flows 7 times more oil it's got to be doing less filtering.

I go 20K miles with a Mobil 1 M1-209 (longer than stock) filter for 2 oil changes for just under $12 each including shipping. That's 200K miles for under $120.

I'll take the Mobil 1 filter over a rock catcher. I posted a UOA a while back so you can check the results.

Only way it could flow 7 times more oil is if the positive displacement oil pump magically put out 7 times more oil volume.

That filter might actually be a pretty good one... for a track car... maybe.

But for an everyday driver, no way. It's overpriced, and it most likely won't filter as well as a quality filter designed for a consumer vehicle, such as a Fram Ultra, etc..

For the $120 price tag on that, I can buy roughly 15 Fram Ultras, or roughly 30 Motorcraft FL400s filters for my car, either of which will get me out to 225,000 miles, and most likely leave my engine in better shape when I get there.

Save your money, and buy a 'normal' filter from the store.

Ding ding, a winner.

That whole website is full of silly statements, just like all the rest that sell such nonsense.
