Just make a burner email? I prefer to have a login because it tracks everything I watched and can easily search for something I want to watch again. Although everytime it suggests a MrSubaru or SilverCymbal tool review it ends up costing me money.
I'd like to sign in to support some of the folks and comment.

Create a random yahoo or gmail account to use just for that and nothing else.
On a lot of devices YouTube is now neutered if you don’t sign in. (Vizio and Roku devices)
You get a massive block that fills the entire screen telling you to sign in.
Below that They only have a recommended row and all the other categories are gone.
Gotta search for everything since very little auto populates.
Up to a month ago even without an account mostly my favorite channels and applicable content filled the rows of various categories.
They have almost completely removed the ability to report app issues or pron without being signed in. (Found work arounds but not ideal)

Both proprietary smart TV ecosystems and Roku devices now only show videos if you search for them and nothing else, the selections to the side are also empty. Can’t report an issue or much of anything besides watch a video you search for, if you do watch a video you also get interrupted by nags to log in randomly.

And if you don’t sign in, all the news and all the videos are bias only one way, If you want to use it for your own stuff and don’t want YouTube and google trying to force bias on you . You go to your favorite channels and bookmark their main channel page, so all you have to do is hit your channels “videos” or “ shorts” and you can smoothly get to look at what you want to look at fairly fast.

Proton Mail doesn't require a phone number to set up an email account.Can't do it with out a phone number.
Depends on the video. Some require some sort of age verification. There are also private videos where one has to request access. Can't view those without logging in.
Though with proton so far anyway, youtube doesn't like it. Nor does google, I'd like to know how to make it work?
