i was thinkin to disconnect the coil wire and crank the engine over a few seconds so it builds up oil pressure and then start the car??

that's a good way to do it, but i'd recommend changing the oil not long after that.

I'd start it normally.
I also think it is smart of you to NOT start it every week in the winter. This would only add cooties to the oil, unless you got her REAL hot each time.

just checked the air cleaner today, looks clean.

im planning to start my car any day now,im just putting back all the stuff i took out before winter, pretty much all the lights, like tail, front, sidemarkers lenses, things like that. i just wanted to clean and polish them during the winter,so i would have something to do in the winter evenings. big job was polishing up the plastic t-top i have in my car,it took two days to polish them up,but now they shine like new. tail lights were also a bit tough one,i took them apart, and cleaned and polished them inside and out. i also want to recharge the battery and wait for a warm day to start my car.

today i finally started my car,i finished yesterday putting back the stuff i took out from the car before winter. it got now polished fog light and parking light lenses, and brand new engine coolant and windshield washer bottles. i also charged the battery. i started the car normally. check out how my car starts up after sitting in the garage about 4 months.

Volcanic ash is murder on engines, it will plug air filters very quickly, and then bypass it. It will melt, and the small particles will quickly destroy your cylinder walls, rings, bearings and camshafts. Bad stuff.
