ON, Canada eh?
So I have a chance to go to HAWAII at a really great price. Don't want to discuss numbers but let's just say it's a once an a lifetime opportunity and it's quite affordable.

I don't have the cash sitting in my bank account but I have no consumer debt and have a good paying job and minimal living expenses. I was thinking going on my credit line and just paying it off in a couple months. Can't not go to Hawaii!

The catch is I have to accompany someone from my work (different department) to a wedding on one of the nights. We will be there 5 days total and the rest of the days we are there are up to us to have fun.

It's approximately 11 hours to/from there with a connecting flight in LA.

So what does everyone think?

DOOOO EEEEET!!!

Are you seriously basing your decision on what us BITOGER'S think.

One night for a wedding and then 4 days of freedom in Hawaii, go for it.

Nope... The two of us get along just fine. She is someone I have worked with for the past 7 years at the same company.

I get along with everyone so I really can't see it being a problem.

We would be sharing a room to cut down on the costs as it is $200 USD / night.

I will make the ultimate decision, but different perspectives never hurt.

I'm going to research it between now and if I go. It's towards the end of October.

Funny you mention that because I was thinking about that earlier today when this offer came up...

I'm not interested in her (for obvious reasons) and she is just getting over a relationship with her Ex who was supposed to be going with her but isn't now because of the break-up.

That's what I was thinking. - 4 days to get plastered and bake in the sun then come back to reality.

It's on my "places to go" list I have. If not this time then eventually.

OK so I said I didn't want to discuss numbers but here it is... $2,000 for 5 days, Really nice hotel, airfare, food and some spending money.

Sound good?

Well good oportunity for you to go and enjoy something that surprisingly enough many have not and will not ever do in their lifetime. Hawaii is so awesome its really hard to describe. You'll see. Have fun man. Hang loose brah!

i my wife is from philippines and i live in NH...i hated the long flight...i bet there are a lot of hot girls to look at as well as other beautiful scenery...i would love to see pearl harbor

Yeah what good is $2K in an investment or bank account. Gotta not just work to save, gotta enjoy life too. I haven't gone away anywhere in 8 years. Last trip was to Cuba. (favourite spot)

I go to see my friends in KY every year, but it's not the same as flying somewhere hot with nice beaches.

just in case you need a dissenting opinion;
it's hot, humid, rains everyday, and the weather never changes. Everything is expensive and it's full of rude people from both sides of the Pacific...

So terrible I've been there twice

It's certainly worth going at least once.
