Should I add more auto-rx?

Hey, guys, i'm about 1400 miles into my clean phase with auto-rx. I initially had dumped whole 12ounce bottle into the crankcase at the beginning of the clean phase with pennzoil dino 5w30. This is on a 96 caravan with 3.0L engine. I kept checking the oil level for changes in consumption and colour. It really didn't get dirty all this time which is kind of disappointing because, i've heard others say that their oil got pretty dirty later in the clean phase which is a good sign of auto-rx working i guess. Anyways, i was hearing this ticking sound from the engine which I thought could be from a plugged up oil filter so i went ahead and replaced the oil filter 2 days ago and filled up the new oil filter with pennzoil 5w30 before i put it on. I didn't bother to check oil level that day. However, when i checked the oil level today it was at the add mark which was surprising because it hadn't gone down at all before this. I proceeded to add oil and it took maybe around 1.5 liters of oil to bring it up to the full mark. I plan on changing the oil again after 1100 miles which will complete the 2500 miles clean cycle. However, i'm worried because of all the new oil i had to add, first topping off the new filter and then over a liter again to bring the dipstick to the full mark. I still have two full bottles of auto-rx in stock so i was thinking if it would be wise to maybe add a few ounces of auto-rx to compensate for the new oil that was added. By the way the oil filter i took off did feel a little bit heavy but i don't think it was plugged because i'm still getting that ticking sound even after the filter change, i guess the sound could just be the auto-rx working.

No don't add more ARX, nothing out of normal so far. Let me get this straight, you are dissapointed because you don't have a lot of sludge for autorx to clean out?

It would not hurt but probably is not needed. I would just let it finish up and start the rinse phase. You can always run another full Auto-Rx treatment on it latter.

The cleaning that Auto-Rx will do may be a little slow to show. Sometimes the crud cleaned out by Auto-Rx is not as dark as you would expect. The thing to do is consider a second complete cycle and do follow the new directions. Remember the sale, too.

No need to add oil as Auto-RX will work into the metal very quickly (Frank has said approximately 750 miles). Once that happens, the Auto-RX is no longer flowing in the oil, so oil consumption will not dilute the ratio.

I bought a used Buick with 82K on the clock and my first two OCI's with Maxlife got pretty dark. The third OCI didn't get as dark and stayed fairly light throughout the OCI. By that time the engine was extremely clean.

Run it longer. 1,400/1,500 miles is nowhere near long enough .

If you read my first post you'll see that i'm planning on running it for 2500miles. Do you think i should run it longer? What's your recommendation on adding more auto-rx?

Ok, what does this have to do with my original question? Are you implying that maxlife will do what auto-rx does? It would definitely be cheaper to use maxlife than auto-rx. Can you show us some proof that maxlife cleans engines as well as auto-rx, i would be very interested if it were the case.

You won't get any proof from me; I neither have the time to set up a presentation nor the motivation to create one. Either take my word for it or forget it. By the way, you'll never see me post in any of your threads again.

Is this for real?
