These have been around forever. I live 10 miles from one of the Largest weekly flea markets in the states, Shipshewana.

Do they work for drying a car? Sure do,just get them wet first like the real thing.

Dry them in the dryer? Nope they'll shrink and be hard as a rock.

Are they soft? Yes just like real chamios.

Do I sell them. No but a dealer gave me his demo's years ago, washed them and put them away still have 20 to 30 left.

Do I have a booth at Shipshe? Nope just live close by.

After almost 30 years of using chamois, towels, shammies, Absorbers, Shamwhatevers, Sooper Shammys, and anything else that looked like it would dry a car efficiently, I am stuck on waffle weave microfiber towels. Softer than any of the above, extremely absorbent and safe for any car finish imaginable.

But, if you just run the car thru the gas station car wash, or the annual gauntlet of neighborhood charity car washes, then a Shamwow will be OK.... I guess. Better than using the towel for drying off your dog.

most MF polishing cloths are not for drying the whole car, they are for removing product and buffing

how can you go wrong "It's made in Germany, you know the Germans are going to make good stuff"

I have used an absorber for years and like a waffle weave MF towel better.

Nothing's better'n leather for wiping down a wet car.

That Shamwow rag is unheard of in Germaany. It's junk sold to gullible people.

Check out the latest Consumer Reports. They tested all the latest infomericial items. The Shamwow didn't do to bad, but I still wouldn't use it on a car finish because they stated it was rough to the skin.

Any of these items are what you need to dry your car:

I use them all, but really like the dimpled synthetic chamois best. It works better than any leather chamois can and beats the absorber for softness and water holding. I just wipe off with it and follow up with a MF cloth and car is spotfree dry and ready for SpeedShine (or instant detailer or any quick spray) if desired for more shine and protection.

Watch the commercial closely. When he dumps the pop on the square of carpet it puddles in front. In the next scene, before he begins mopping it with the Scamwow the puddle is gone. Then he picks up the carpet square and remarks about how the liquid has disappeared.

I wouldn't do business with a company that shady.

What month was that in? Perhaps I missed it in a previous issue.

The current issue is rebuilding your nest egg, fitness equipment & diet survey results, washing machines, microwaves etc. The front loader mold issues and long cycle times is saving me some money. The wife likes our top loader more and more after reading that.
