I went and picked up 6 rolls for upcoming changes at my local chinamart, well the price is $1.09 a piece. Used to get them for $0.88. Still beats prices on any other filter for its efficiency.

Are you talking about using TP as a filter?

Yes, TP works great. I'll take it over any other bypass filter out there. I prefer the rolls from wefilterit though. They are tightly wound and fit perfect. They do cost a little more though.

Works great? Common you can't be serious. All those paper particles floating around in the oil, can't be good for an engine.

Yes it clogs oil galleries which burns up your cam and then takes out your motor, meanwhile it filters down to 1/10 of a micron. I take off between 30-40 wraps and its really tight.

I pay around 7 dollars for a 12 pack of Scott 1000 at the local Meijer store. They have the best price around here. Up until just a few months ago, it was $5.99 for the 12 packs. It's still cheap. Even with 3 of Ralph's Motor Guards on my Jeep a 12 pack will last me close to a year.

There are no paper particles floating around.

My oil reports prove this. I will be happy to show you my uoa. Yes, works great.

Yes, XPR, tp is a great (and dirt cheap) filter media. Been used for decades. It was in its glory when our poorly fuel managed engines produced tons of dirt in the oil that made short OCI a mandate. They sorta fell out of vogue when OCI's began to stretch out with cleaner engines.

They're still almost impossible to beat. The only downside is frequency of service. Someone using dino can be down to 4 quarts of oil and 4 rolls of tp a year. Once you go to longer mileage ..or start using synthetics ..then you're going to be servicing it more often than some want to ..and you'll be adding make up oil to the tune that you would anyway with synthetics. That is, it's a little harder on the economics of the practice. You still get excellent filtration for your efforts.

Just bought 30 rolls at Sam's club for under $18.00. It came out to about .60 a roll. They are individually wrapped and have the sought after 1 1/2 inch cores. BINGO! I might go buy another one and put it in the storage unit so they don't get used up for normal TP usages.
