Schaeffer 238 vs Redline CV2 - Superior to Castrol?

Grease is cheap,failure isnt.What it costs is only one part of the equation. If your parts will last longer,cooler,etc then its money well spent. Im obviously partial to Redline or Archoil 8300 series for grease.
 
The factory greases in CV joints last a long time. I usually use a grease that has moly and starts life Black and ropy. I would choose the Red Line out of this group but I'm a fanboy.
 
There used to be tribologists and grease application specialists that would post answers on this forum rooted in science. Not sure what happened to that.....
 
Haven’t ever used Redline but the others I have they have always worked good for me. At the dealership we just use the one that has our brand on it not sure who makes it though.
 
The Honda S2000 is known for preamture failure (pitting) of the CV joints.
Many users at the S2000 community agree that the use od Redline CV2 grease prevent this.

 
Redline CV2 and Krytox are what we have used in our race car axles....If you have a real problem with axles use the Krytox. Never lets us down.
 

Redline CV2 for Rzeppa joints which are common outside joints and cross ball joints usually inside joints and Schaeffer's 219 NLGI#1 for plunge/tripod usually inner joints. The GKN inner grease is almost $50 for 7oz. Mola put me on to the 219 and it works great.
