Does anybody here run scangauge II in their vehicles? I have one in my toyota corolla and I am trying to figure out how to get it to display transmission temperature. I know scangauge II can be programmed to display custom gauges, but I don't know how to program it for transmission temperature...

I guess first you should establish that there is a trans temp sensor and that it feeds into the ECU. Some cars do this, some cars don't. Probably a Corolla forum is your best bet or try to find a free service manual to download.
Unless you are towing or road racing I doubt your trans temp is ever an issue.

I know there ia a sensor and I know it feeds the ECU. You have to put a certain command string into Scangauge II for each custom gauge so it can pull transmission temp off of the ECU, this is what I am looking for. I'don't have an issue with transmission temperature, I am just interested in being able to watch it...

punch up rockauto.com or another parts store and find a part number for your trans temp sensor.

Would be very suprised if one existed.

Transmission temperature is not something the ScanGauge can display on Toyota vehicles. Toyota's ECU likely reports that in a non-standard format, so an aftermarket scanner cannot read it.
