While true, have you seen some of the grittier traffic videos from Russia?
 
Great video, very inspirational/moving.

I think stuff happens like this all the time in the states, it's just that the media doesn't show us this on the news.

I have people offer me a ride when I was a young man and living out in the sticks. I've also helped my share of stranded vehicle get out of traffic.

When my wife and I first started dating, I scored major points with her father by pulling over to change her tire on the highway.
 
I can't imagine not assisting in any of those situations. But it's true....for the most part people where I live would ignore it or worse...honk a horn.
 
I guess I have seen too many of those Russian Dash Cam videos, I kept expecting some drunk in a Lada or Truck to come crashing onto the scene.

+1. And there are lots of others to the contrary.

Given the debacle that is Sochi right not, I have to wonder if this was staged to be some good PR.
