Don, thanks for the post. I can understand why you use
the 15-40 where you live, but have you tried the T-SYN?
I've used the T-Syn in my Wing at 5-6K OCIs with
great results. I've used it in 4 bikes, a civic, a Ford P/U,
my last two Infiniti's, a Lincoln, and my lawnmower. If
purchased at farm stores or truck stops on sale in 5 gallon
pails, it significantly reduces the price/quart on an
already reasonably priced product...typically around $3/quart.
Can totally relate to your comment: "there are times a man
simply must change out the oil." ....good one!

You know, I have ... once, I think. It was perfectly good oil. But I'm a bit of a minimalist. I settled on the 15W-40 when it was $8/gallon at Wal-Mart and once settled, I stay settled.

On sunruh's advice I almost -- almost -- went with SuperTech. But like I said, once settled, I stay that way.

My wife chooses to label that "boring old stick in the mud." But she's pretty darn cute so I think I'll keep her.
