I've been looking at EcoGard, Premium Guard, Baldwin, Hastings, etc... for the price. Any recommendations on those filters or ones to avoid?

IMO you are overthinking it. I've tried numerous filters over the years. Based on all of the input, pics, cut and posts etc, the Ultra has got to be in the top 3 oil filters available IMO. It's a waste to run it for only one OCI. I will be running the Ultra's for 2-4 OCI based on what I see when I open them up.

Not sure if any of the cheaper filters will be prone to tearing at some point in time. Stick with a top quality filter and don't lose any sleep over it.

On Rockauto, I order 4-6 of the same filter or same brand (2 different Fram Ultra sizes) so the shipping will be from one location. That means shipping is less than $2 for each filter (I'm in Canada). Make sure you use the 5% off coupon when ordering.

The Fram Ultra is double the price in Local stores. No thanks!

Your other option for US purchases is to buy 6 Fram Ultra on Ebay with Free shipping. Some people report damaged filters from the vendor, but they contact the vendor and get them replaced with no hassle.

I've had mixed experience with RockAuto.com closeout oil filters.
I got some Mobil 1 EP filters for dirt cheap ($1.75 each IIRC), they were 5 years old when I got them and one was slightly dented at the bottom. I cut open that dented filter and they looked perfect inside, the glue was still pliable and the media was intact, not crumbling or aging at all. I used them with confidence. Even after sacrificing one for cut/inspection, they were super cheap for a premium M1 filter.
More recently, I got some Fram Pro Synthetic (FU jobbers) for dirt cheap, They were only 1 year old when I got them and again one of the cans was dented. And still super cheap for a premium Fram Ultra.

It's amusing to me that these filters are made in Nebraska just a short distance from me, but they were shipped to me out of the Bronx, New York. So these were loaded in a semi truck in Nebraska, shipped half way around the country to New York and were still sold for to me for under $2 each. (FYI: I ordered several dozen of these about a year ago on Rock's closeout, priced under $1/each and they were Hastings-manufactured, but painted with the Federated auto store's color and part number)
Then they got put in a box and shipped back (for under $10, IIRC) to me and they end up close to where they were manufactured.
ANYWAY, the CF110 is a Motorcraft FL820 clone, has louvers and I've never had a problem with them after using (probably) a couple of hundred of these on my vehicles over the past years.

That's often how it goes with ground shipping. Your item might run all over the country, this way and that, hitching rides with all different kinds of stuff. As long as they end up at the destination and it costs less, well... that's ground shipping for ya'.

I have used the Ecogard on my F150, seems to be a sturdy filter with decent ratings.

The X2222 is the one for the Sebring, and is $2.86 on both Amazon and Walmart.com
The X10497 is the one for the Hyundai and is $2.76 on Walmart.com

They also have a synthetic blend filter (replace the x with an s in the part number), but they are the same price as the Toughguard.

Pricing is hard to resist. Only problem is that shipping cost more than the filter.

Seeing the problems with some of the RA filters posted here, the price is easy to resist.
