I am having a second thought on what I already have done.
I just did a drain and refill with Mobil-1 AFT which is a multi vehichle grade AFT. My cars are 97 Camry V6 XLe and 02-03 Sienna van. I did search with no luck for any clue if this is the right fluid for these cars. Your thoughts?

Mobil1 ATF is spec'ed for dexIII. Your transmission will be fine. Most likely, your transmission is better off with mobil1 atf in it instead of regular dexIII.

dont use their synth atf in that trans though, itd munble jmumble your trans
the guy at trans place said its too slippery... itd - - - - - - my car

You're fine with the Mobil 1 ATF, assuming your 97 V-6 has the same transmission as the 96 Camry V-6, & I believe it does. My V-6 just turned 190,000 miles today and I've used the Mobil 1 ATF in it for 100,000 of those miles. Last fluid changeover was some 25,000 miles back. The transmission continues to shift like it did when I drove it new off the lot in Roswell, NM back in Dec., 2005. The fluid retains its bright red color & I will do a pan drain in the next few months and have a Dyson analysis done. The last Blackstone analysis showed excellent results (at appx. 165,000 miles).

just puchased a qt. of the M1 ATF syn for 2000 PRIZM's ( Corolla ) power steering fluid which calls for DEXRON . Says on the bottle can be mixed w/ current DEXRON in power steering unit . Just haven't got the nerve to suck out some of the old fluid and refill w/ the M1 A.T.F. yet , then over time would remove more fluid from the resorvoir until mostly M1 A.T.F. . Anyone of you using it for power steering and if so how are the results ? THANKS

My Mothers Tundra has about 60,000 miles onit and it has ran Mobil-ATF since about 15,000 miles. I have never had a problem useing M1 ATF in a Toyota automatic! Amsoil's fluid works well too!
