"Piece" of mind? You mean this oil comes with a lecture?

Redline 20w50 runs better in my Harley than Mobil1Vtwin, Harley syn3, Lubeatech 20w50 or HD360. It is the best MC oil out there for an air coled engine IMO.

Yes. I went from Mobil 1 V-twin to Redline motorcycle oil in 20W/60 for Texas heat and never looked back. I do not even consider Harley SYN3 to be worthy of my lawn mower.

Please explain "runs better."

Well, Mobil 1 V-Twin is a [censored] of an oil so I find that a bit surprising.

Engine is smoother and quieter. Less mechanical noise.

I would rank them in this order based on my use:

1. Redline (very smooth & quiet operation)
2. Mobil1Vtwin ( smooth operation but some sewing machine noise)
3. Lubeatech ( very smooth & responsive but more noise)
4. Syn3 ( smooth operation but top end clatter with this oil)
5. HD 360 ( good ole dino...quieter than syn3 but more heat with this)

Syn3 is a good break in oil for a HD Vtwin. Allows some normal engine wear but keeps the heat down. It is a better oil for the Sportster line with the shared clutch/trans.

I knew I recognized those pictures! Snapped those about 3 months ago to send to Redline from an engine that was torn apart for a new crank. The old one had scissored and was out of true. We push Redline in most high performance applications and it seems to do the job well, though I'll be honest and admit that I dont have any UOA's to backup that claim.

I thought more noise was better on an HD?

Interesting article ... but no side-by-side comparisons showing where one oil failed but Red Line was successful at preventing wear of one component or another.

The article sounds good ... in theory ... but I'd like to see something a little more tangible (or visible).
