Was looking under my '97 Alti the other day while it was on a lift, and brake lines were badly coroded, as well as some suspension parts, nuts, bolts, exhaust hangers... Is there a product out there I can apply to these areas (on a newer vehicle) to prevent/delay the corosion process? I know exhaust heat could be an issue as far as exhaust parts, but it has to be some kind of tar or spray out there that could be used for this.

thx for any suggestions

Amsoil Heavy Duty Metal Protector stuff is excellent and sticks like crazy...

Repells salt, water you name it.

You guys really need a rust-proofing place like we have up here in Canada called Krown Rust Control.

Do you have a Ziebart nearby? That would be even better...

I have always wondered if there is a company that makes stainless steel brake lines for this problem. Im sure someone on the forum will let it be known if there is.

Fluid Film. It's available from John Deere dealers for $10 a can. You'll need 3-4 cans for a small car, and 5-6 for a big car. It's getting it into every crevice that's a PITA, and totally worth it if you've bought the stuff.
