Funny hadn't heard of this but my '16 RR HDE Td6 did this only in certain car washes and when the washing 'robot' was by the rear corners of the car, I figured it was the cross traffic sensor or similar. And yes I use auto car washes for my DD's, but never the toys.
 
Funny… Bob users brag about driving beaters paid for in cash for a million miles yet worried about some marring at an automatic car wash.
Dude, do you not know? The biggest flaunt is having a beater that is in pristine condition, it is the PERFECT way to show socio-economic status.
