I have tried a bunch of oils, Pennzoil YB, Platium and now Ultra(but my Ultra testing is not done) Castrol Syntec and GTX, Havoline Deposit shield as well as Blue bottle syn and silver bottle syn, Valvoline, syn, conventional, blend, Mobil blends, conventional(no Mobil 1 yet) Motorcraft, Super tech and alot of other weird ones such as Wolfs head etc.. and the only one to give me a increase in fuel milelage, that was noticable is the Quaker state full syn. I use it all the time in my Hemi, and I tow alot of weight with it. The stuff is Great, I love it, I think all the advertising is corny, Horsepower, Torque and now Ultimate Durability, but I really endorse the stuff. Its Great stuff.

I've got a bunch of it, but haven't run it yet. Consensus arund these parts is that it's a very good quality oil. VOA looks good.
I'm running M1 and PP right now and won't be due for a change for at least a couple months, but I will be making the switch.

It is what is in my '06 F150 right now. First impressions is that it is quieter and smoother. I previously ran Motorcraft 5w20 and had lifter rattle on light acceleration that is now gone with QSHP. There truly is a noticeable difference with this oil in terms of quietness, smoothness, peppier, and seems to have better fuel mpg.

I once looked down the oil fill tube with a flashlight while running MC 5w20 right after shutting down the engine to see if it looked clean inside the valve cover. What I noticed is that there was thick white oil vapors coming up the tube and I couldn't hardly see anything until the engine cooled down. I did this again today with the QS(hot day, 99F) and was surprised to see there were hardly any vapors coming up. I could clearly see the components inside the valve cover.

I believe that QS synthetic in the lower weights (0w20, 5w20, 5w30) is PP without the heavy dose of calcium.

Ive noticed the same thing too when running thinner oils after a good long run with the engine good and hot,but with thicker oils,no white vapor. Is the white vapor a sign that the said oil is burning up ala "low votality"?

i used it before and it lost i quart in 1k miles.. any other syn no prob... i liked it but 1q low suprised me..but overall its good oil.

I have done 4k in my Lexus on QS syn and so far so good. I do mainly highway miles and the oil looks very clean still. I've been pushing the car harder since I've gotten it. Maybe the psychological impact of have full synthetic in it for the first time.

Now up to 175,000 miles on 2001 Windstar 3.8L V6 on QS, almost all synthetic. Engine spotless. No consumption. No noises. No leaks. No problems. Changing every 4 mo./4k miles under QS warranty using FL400S filter. Only $18/5 wts. What a bargain and what a value.
