Take your pick. The latest PQIA testing showed KV100=10.5 cSt, KV40=66.4 cSt, and they don't do an HTHS. 3.1 to 3.2 is a good estimate for an ILSAC rated 10w30. The Pennzoil data sheet shows KV100=10.5 cSt and KV40=69.5 cSt. It doesn't show the HTHS either, but it's an rather narrow band that you're going to see with an ILSAC 10w30, not likely to be any lower or higher than the values I gave above.


using the widman viscosity calculator, the PQIA kv values and the density from pennzoil spec sheet, The HTHS would be 3.24 cP if newtonian. it's not going to be higher than that, except by margin of error

Which means absolutely nothing. Unless the vehicle was driven in the exact same way,for the exact same mileage and the exact same ambient conditions less wear metals are meaningless.
Especially if you haven't established trends,and let's be serious here. If there was 10ppm difference that's absolutely nothing. Heck 20 ppm isn't even relevant.

I was impressed by the amount of moly in PYB. I would use it if I wasn't already using a Schaeffer 5w30 in mine, that has almost double the moly of the PYB.
