Looks good. Can we have another shot of louvers, couldn’t get good view of them in the one pic

Thank You

Too bad the efficiency isn't as "solid" as the looks. If they were 99% @ 25u or better, I'd use the Boss. But they are far from that efficient, at least the ones we've seen Spec Sheets on. In the mean time, gonna try a MircoGard Select.
if only they could improve the efficiency. that was the single nicest filter i’ve ever cut apart. the baseplate was so thick it was heavy.

I contacted purolator about the Boss's efficiency, and was told 99% at 30 microns. However, I was asking about the PBL34631, so I'm not sure if that applies to every Boss

Did they send you a Spec Sheet for that filter model? Or just tell you over the phone, or both?

Even the Boss that Purolator references as 99% @ 25u on their website has a Spec Sheet that shows 99% >46u. So who knows what to trust with their specs?

Ask for the specification sheet PDF & then you'll know what it is. I'd be curious if it does end up being 99@30.

I was given the specs through email, but did not ask for the sheet. I sent another email for the spec sheet on the PBL34631. I'll share it when they get back to me.

Just received the specification sheet for the PBL34631. Yikes. The box says 20 microns, but their test data says 46. Looks like all Bosses are 46 microns. False advertising.

Thanks for posting that. I've not seen a picture of a Boss box lately but they've been known to reference a certain filter & or different line of product that's in the fine print. The great thing about these sheets is that they cut through the marketing. I'd imagine the Classic or One would have better efficiencies you're after.

they reference a PBL3001 which even then doesn’t meet the 20um rating. is >46um. i don’t know why they don’t market the BOSS as a racing filter. things are built like a tank and easily compare to a racing filter efficiency wise. just don’t know how the flow ratings compare to say a ford performance filter or fram racing can.
