Purolater Red Can

I left the photos big on purpose-both filters have louvers, the Purolator One on top clearly has a bright orange ADBV, the Red Classic on the bottom has a lighter red ADBV that I'm not convinced is silicone (someday I'll cut one & do the burn test). In case there was any question, no cage, just louvers (that appear to be open BTW).

Never seen an orange or red ADBV that is nitrile. I'm betting those are both silicone ... burn baby, burn.

Silicon. Good to know. Thanks. It definitely has a wire cage. Ran my finger in the filter to confirm.

It's weird-it looks more like the red rubber that would be used for a kid's toy, not shiny/glossy at all. When I use one (PH7317 size) I'll cut it & test it.

How old is that classic?
