Purflux LS218 [Cut Open]

Pictures of the filter that was in my Renault Clio 1.6 K4M for the last 20,000 km and about 18 months. The build quality of these filters is excellent. I think I will use Purflux Filters for the rest of my life.

The oil in this interval was PPPP, I replaced it with M1

I rented an AWD Clio in the Cayman Islands: I found it a pretty nice car, and got about 28 mpg around town with 100% a/c on.

I have never, ever seen herringbone pleats pattern.

Very tiny filter, but certainly appears to have held up well against the rather robust demands placed upon it. Looks great, all things considered.

Do a search for "Purflux" on BITOG.. you'll see quite a few. They always seem to do well.

Interesting looking filter. I guess the zig zag media gives more filter area. Probably same filter area as a regular filter 1/2" taller.
