Came off my 04 z71 5.3. 77,000 miles Happy to see it held up well however this is the last p1 il ever use. And only have 1 purolator left its on my 93 and will be coming off soon anyway. An ocod went back on to run this m1ep 5w30 to 8-8500 miles. And topped up with fresh m1 5w30. Also I'm at 10 months on this oci and this was the coldest winter I've ever been thru in eastern NC. Adbv very pliable, inside filter very clean. Already have a small stash of fram ultras that will be going on after the ocod is done along with valvoline synpower. Planning to go 8-8500 oci from now on.

Looks good, but I dont blame you for making the switch.

w00h00!

Looks good. They still need to tighten the pleats up around the seam to remove the risk. Thanks for posting.

OP that is a beautiful looking filter. It held up really well, especially under such conditions. If Pureones are holding up so well why make the switch?

I hope your not falling into the Puronoia...

Replaced with an OCOD?

Lies! You covered the tears with electrical tape! There's no way there are no tears in that filter! My brother's, sister's retarded dog told me they all tear!

Seriously, looks good.

#1 I'm gonna run longer oci and Honestly I don't trust the company anymore I live 2 hrs from them and like to keep my money local and have been loyal to them since I was 16 now 33 but the way they handled the tearing issues has lost me as a customer. I don't have to be stung by a bee to know they sting. I trust the photos on this site and can aggree that they have changed something 1 being this wide pleet spacing near the seem it looks even on mine that it's pulling hard by the glue wheras they tear at. and the last one I cut the media was very brittle and tore as I touched it. The old ones I had cut years ago looked great and they were some of the best filters out there but something has changed. They will probably never admit any issues but will only offer a replacement with the same filter if you send them the old one. I'm not brand loyal to fram as il use a wix as well.

Dissapointing. You have fallen victim to the Puronoaia that is spread like a pandemic across this forum!!

But hey, to each their own. Good luck with your new filter choices!!

^^^ Actually, he has fallen "victim" of clear logic. No surprise.

Date code 7/20/2013 ... still made before any real changes would have been made IF Purolator addressed the tearing media issue.
