PU cleans better than M1.

I have never had any varnish on any dipstick of any car I ever owned. Do you suppose it is because I regularly check my oil and wipe my dipstick each time?

+2 There was a thread on this exact subject like a week ago. I'll summarize some of those points:

1) not a fair apples to apples comparison since essentially PP=M1 and PU=Mobil EP.
2) can you actually trust the company whose PDS are full of mistakes.
3) Sopus is desperate because PU has been a sales nightmare. No one is buying the "more clean" advertising---any good oil cleans.

There's more of an issue than that, IMO. Pennzoil chose not to show all 6 pistons from sequence IIIG as Mobil 1 did.

Now look at the M1 pic, compare the #1 piston (2nd column, 1st row) to the #5 piston (1st column, 2nd row).

Which piston would pick for an advertisement that shows only one piston?

Does not burn oil!! Just bought from an 89 year old who changed oil & filter 20 times in 33k miles at Saturn. Has 37k right now.

Tomorrow, in goes the PU for the forseeable future. My goal is to take this "find" and ensure (prove) it won't burn oil!

Well they have to be. Mobil has most of the general public brainwashed into thinking they make the best product out there. Sure they make a competitive product for each price point however what the general public doesn't know is mobil is constantly changing their formula to make it cheaper and still meet their spec's.
The whole synthetic hype and how loosely it's thrown around is case and point. A group 3 should not be considered synthetic. Only in America does that fly. And since group 3s are allowed to be called synthetic mobil re-formulated all of their products because it was cheaper, and could still be branded synthetic. O don't know why anyone would even support a company that consistently pulls the wool over the consumers eyes simply because they can.

Fixed that for you.

I agree, which makes pulling one piston out of a set of 6 for an advertisement pic pretty questionable, no?

Now Ben, don't bring common sense into this thread! It's a bloody super power!

My Aunt has 200,000 miles on her vehicle and she has been using Mobil 1 since 3000 miles and her Valvetrain is spotless, guess she should start using PU.
